Wabash Sampling Blitz - Spring 2010

April 9th: Join the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation, Purdue University, and our partners in sampling 200+ road-stream crossings in the watershed. Sampling will occur within a 2 hour window on Friday, April 9th. This will be our inaugural spring event and will complete one annual sampling cycle.

Volunteers are needed to collect water samples and assist at the three staging areas: north (Beck Agricultural Center - 4540 W. US 52 West Lafayette), south (Tippecanoe SWCD office - 1812 Troxel Drive, Lafayette), and west (Cicott Park, Independence). Volunteers will be assigned three to five sample sites - all equipment will be provided and no training is necessary. Wabash Riverfest - July 10th, 2010: Join the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation, Dulcimer Gathering, SAMI, NICHES, Sycamore Audobon Society, Tippecanoe County SWCD, Lafayette Zoo, Indiana Wildlife Federation, Banks of the Wabash, Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society, and more at this family friendly event.
