Urban Committee

The Region of the Great Bend of the Wabash River watershed contains relatively large urban areas including Lafayette and West Lafayette and several smaller communities like Attica, Battle Ground, Linden, and Independence. The urban committee will focus their efforts on identifying water quality problems and project sites that are urban associated.

This committee will operate on two levels: first completing the watershed inventory of all urban areas, and then focusing their efforts on the identification of specific Best Management Practices (BMPs) and implementation areas for the second phase of the project.

The urban inventory effort will be the focus of this committee in the fall of 2009. The second phase will occur in 2010 and 2011.
