2017 April 26, 4-6 pm - Oakland Elementary School Rain Garden Maintenance

Volunteers are needed to maintain the rain gardens and native plantings at Oakland Elementary School (611 S 21st St, Lafayette) on March 30 and the last Wednesday monthly April to October from 4 until 6 pm. Learn more about the OES project. Volunteer four or more hours with WREC and receive a free rain barrel kit - rain barrel, stand, and diverter included!  Sign up here or contact WREC for more information. 2017 April 29 9:00 am-1:00 pm - DeTrash the Wabash

Help remove trash from the Wabash River!  Registration begins at 8:30 am - learn more here! Meet at the Riverside Skating Rink at Tapawingo Park.  Be sure to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and gloves.  A pizza lunch will be provided at noon!  Sign up here to participate.

2017 May 5, 10:30-11:30 am - Tecumseh Native Planting Maintenance

Volunteers are needed to maintain the native planting at Tecumseh Jr High School (222 N Chauncey, West Lafayette) on May 5th. RSVP or contact Colleen Rooney for more information. 

2017 May 5, 2:30-5 pm - Wabash Sampling Blitz

2017 May 16, 4:00-6:00 pm - Cary Home Savannah Maintenance

2017 July 8, 7 am-5 pm - Wabash Riverfest

Join WREC and our partners at Wabash Riverfest - the largest celebration of the Wabash River statewide! Greet volunteers, paint faces, staff our information booth and kids area, sell ice cream, assist with on-river activities and more! Learn more and volunteer!

2017 September 11 and 12, 4:00-6:00 pm - Wabash Gardens Rain Garden Maintenance

Volunteers are needed to maintain the rain garden at Wabash Gardens (Indian Trail and Navajo in West Lafayette) on April 10 or 11 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. Replanting of rain gardens will also occur on April 11th during this maintenance event. Learn more about the Wabash Gardens project.
